So it begins. The Ghomeshi case (which is of course years overdue) is a great example of how Canada refuses to take the lead, but will follow its imperial masters; if not for the Jimmy Savile Case in the UK, this case would never have been brought to light. In fairness, neither would the Bill Cosby case in the US.
TORONTO – Former CBC Radio Host Jian Ghomeshi surrendered to police and was charged with four counts of sexual assault Wednesday.
He appeared in a Toronto courtroom shortly after noon.
Police laid the charges nearly a month after allegations Ghomeshi physically and sexually assaulted several woman first arose.
Ghomeshi has ignored requests for comment but has said in two separate Facebook posts his sexual encounters were also consensual and he would meet the allegations directly.
