“The only objects of practical reason are those of good and evil.” — Immanuel Kant
How do pimps beseech and praise their god?
In the sky, the temple doors are charred
And all the cafes are ghosted with the dead.
They’ve transformed into brothels all the schools,
Appointing as professors only fools
They found in parks, getting bilked at boules.
The souls who lifted up the lamps were blessed,
Who lit the path to life for all the rest,
We’re Davis, Lass, and Ahmed at our best.
The capital of every hell’s the same
And ruled by the identically insane,
A honeycombed ejaculate of pain.
But heaven is a fingerprint of joy,
Distinct as the engendering girl or boy
Who brought it into being with their story.
