Retroactive change of law prompts OPP to drop probe of RCMP gun data destruction

Remember Richard Nixon’s “It’s not illegal if the President does it!”? Well, the RCMP and OPP and Stephen Harper’s Conservatives have colluded to take it a step farther, making it into law. The money spent on the investigation of deliberate destruction of evidence by the RCMP might not be wasted, however, if Canada gets a different party in power come the election. Time will tell.
