Okay, it’s not exactly a free ride into orbit, but it’s the next best thing for civilians who aren’t as rich as Richard Branson; NASA has announced that it will be accepting applications to cover the launch of the new Orion Space Craft’s inaugural flight test, this December. Here’s the announcement, made (appropriately enough) on Facebook:
Witness History: We are inviting social media users to apply for a credential to a two-day event Dec. 3 and 4 to cover the first launch of NASA’s Orion Spacecraft‘s first flight test launch. The NASA Social is expected to culminate with the launch of #Orion from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. Liftoff is targeted for 7:05 a.m. EST Dec. 4.
