At the request of supporter Roberto Capodieci today’s price roundup features Nextcoin, NXT. Its unique proposition is that it is not only a cryptocurrency, but also a collaborative platform. Roberto says, “NXT is more than a crypto currency, and includes also a voting system, a way to create and trade ‘stocks’ of whatever you wish, an encrypted messaging system, etc. It has a new way to manage the block chain, and it is a real second generation crypto currency.” In this it takes advantage of the blockchain technology, which can really be a platform for just about anything, not just currency. It’s an intriguing concept that has been explored by many cutting-edge techno-philosophers, but which hasn’t come into its own yet because the two first adopters of any internet-based technology are, as they have always been, money and porn. But I repeat myself.
