Adrian Humphreys has been on the Matt DeHart case from the beginning: here he covers what may be its final chapter, as DeHart accepts a 7 1/2 year sentence on child pornography rather than fighting an FBI-led espionage case in court. With credit for time served, DeHart could be out in as few as three years.
He will still be a felon, and will bear that label and its legal burden for the rest of his life, and a “confessed” child porn aficionado, which will make his time in prison rougher than it would be fore a convicted hacktivist. Still, he is that much closer to freedom today, and anything can happen tomorrow.
